ABOUT ALISA

I've been curious about what's over there for a very long time.

Long before Adventure with Alisa had a name, travel was already shaping my life.

I've lived in Trinidad and Tobago, traveled through Central America, stood near Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica, explored Japan, wandered European cities, returned again and again to places closer to home, and traveled with my own family as my daughters grew into travelers themselves. We all have dual nationality between USA and Latvia.

Some journeys have taken me across oceans.

Others have taken me along the North Shore of Minnesota, East or West and to all 50 States in the USA.

All matter.

Because what keeps pulling me toward travel isn't simply seeing someplace new.

It's understanding it.

The history.

The people.

The landscape.

The food.

The strange little details.

And increasingly, the ways places connect us to our own histories and to one another.

Adventure with Alisa grew from that curiosity and a dream.

Today I use it to help other people stop dreaming vaguely about someday and start creating journeys they'll actually remember.

Travel should be more than checking places off a list.

It can reconnect you with where you came from. Bring generations of a family together. Introduce you to people, food, history and traditions you never expected to love. It can challenge you, delight you—and occasionally leave you standing on a Barcelona street trying to eat lunch while holding entirely too many things.

That’s the kind of travel I believe in.

I create personalized journeys for people who want to experience a destination—not simply pass through it.

TRAVEL, MADE PERSONAL

There is no universally perfect vacation.

There is only the trip that is right for you.

Maybe you've been dreaming about Ireland for twenty years. Maybe you want to stand in the village your grandparents left generations ago. Maybe you're celebrating a milestone birthday in Mexico, taking your children to Europe, exploring Central America, or finally planning the trip you've kept saying you'll take "someday."

I start with the traveler—not the destination.

Your interests.
Your history.
Your budget.
Your pace.
Your people.

Then we build the journey around them.

Thoughtful planning. Meaningful travel. Memories that last.
